Well, I changed the Hessian from a metric to an Inch pattern magazine catch after GG got done. Trouble: FALO-C started releasing the magazine while firing. Deduced the spring LOA need to be more, stiffer, or otherwise account for the apparent change.
Got a small ball bearing from my pile, and dropped it in the magazine catch assembly boss (bore hole). Mounted spring, and installed assembly into receiver. Hot damn! problem solved.
Remember, the Inch catch has a long leg which you'll need to grind short for installation on a Metric receiver. Do this gradually, cold blue, and VOILA! A nice magazine catch.
You lefties will really appreciate the Inch release: I use the index finger of my shooting hand (left) to trip the magazine release. Nice drill: fast, safe since finger is NOT on trigger, and VERY quick. Try it!
