Interchangeability: Israeli HB handguards on StG

I know this has been answered elsewhere in the past, but try as I might.... I cannot find the thread that contained it. http://www.fnfal.com/forums/frown.gif Exactly what parts are needed to install an Izzy HB handguard set on a standard grade STG-58? What modifications are required? Will the Izzy HB bi-pod fit on a standard grade barrel, being you must loose the bi pod found on the STG? Thanks!

I think it was Orca that did the HB HGs adaption before, might ask him.

The Izzy HB bipod wont fit a standard barrel. The bipod fits on the HB coupler which is threaded for the larger HB barrel. I suppose a bushing could be machined to adapt the HB coupler to a standard barrel but lotsa work imo.

The Izzy stock (either LB or HB) should fit with litte or no modification.
As for the HB handguard conversion, thanks for the pics Eclipse, but I went out and found a set of LB handguards. Hell, my original post was back in October!!! http://www.fnfal.com/forums/smile.gif
