I was at a gun show last year and passed up a knife I saw. Ever since then, I have regretted it. The only problem was, I have no idea what kind of knife it was.

I think it said it was German made, but I'm not sure, it's been a long while since I saw it. The blade was approximately 4 or 5 inches. It was an out the front knife that split down the middle of the handle, I think you would push the blade up, and heres the cool part, the bottom part of the handle would fold up into the upper part of the handle, thereby making the handle shorter than the blade when it was open. It wasn't able to open it real fast, but it sure seemed to lock up tight.

It was solid, but not too expensively made. Looked like 440 steel or something like that.

What kind of knife is that? Anybody know? I really want to order one.

Cheap enough at that price. Cool design, useless in function. IMHO :)
Had one for years, didn't pay much. Don't believe it was ever carried by any "paratrooper" that I can find.

That's it!!!!!!

Amen to useless function and a lack of paratrooper carry. Associating it with that makes as much sense as the word tactical used to describe a tote bag, but it's done.;)

I had no idea they'd be that cheap. There's no way I'd carry one,, at least not often, but I really want one in my collection for the oddness factor.

That knife is a copy of a WWII era german paratrooper knife. I have a taiwan produced copy of the original. A friend picked up an original along with some other WWII items at an estate sale last month. The originals had brass handles. The locking mechanism had the eagle and swastika.

A guy at work just bought a mini Microtech. Neat knife but I don't have $250 to spend on one.
