A short time ago I picked up a Romy AK .22 trainer with 2 mags. One mag works great, but the other one is a paper-weight. Has anyone tried out the new Ceiner AK conversion mags in one of these? This rifle is a real kick to shoot but reloading the same 10 round mag is getting to be a real pain. If the Ceiner mags work I would get 2 30 rounders which would be a lot more fun.

I have had the same experience with the .22 trainer, and remember seeing East German AK .22 mags somewere in the past, but can not remember who had them, Sarco or ????

Ah! There's the rub. I have read several postings on the AK files, Assault Web and at least 1 .22 forum about the same mags, but the postings were all at least a year old. I checked with all the surplus suppliers I know of without luck. That's why I was hoping someone had tried the Ceiner mags. At this time I can't even afford the $35.00 plus shipping for one of their 10 round mags. It's just too expensive an experiment.

My mags had problems feeding. The feed ramp was insufficient. Try taking them down a bit.

IO has East German 15rd .22 AK mag's for $19.9x Not sure if what to look at, to make a good guess as to if it would work.
