Ron, Thanks for posting these pixs. I wanted to know what a compact scope would look like on one of these mounts and man your shots answered it all! Is the carrying handle still somewhat useful any at all?

Ron:
Where did you get your ARMS mount? The picture at Enterprise (shown below) shows the rail extending the full length of the cover. Are there two different versions of this mount?

The carry handle is useles now. I bought the mount from Entreprise Arms. They do list two different mounts, the one I have and one for a Paratrooper FAL. I would say that the one with the rail going the full length must be the Paratrooper model. I'm going to the range in the morning, so i will let you know how she performs. Glad the pictures helped.

Very interesting SteveS. I received the same mount as shown on Sportsnuts' rifle. I would have prefered to have the option of the rings going all the way forward. I did not see an option for this when I ordered mine.
But you can bet if I order another one it will be the one Entreprise has pictured  Not the one I received..

I just got a mount from Entreprize and it has the full length rail, like the picture. If I had gotten the short one like yours I would have sent it back!
As tall as I am, I have no choice but to mount scopes as far forward as I can get them.
I will be mounting a Tasco SS 10x42 and a Comp M on mine when I get it finished, both in ARMS rings, of coarse.
