This was the last one built at the group build. I think TerryB will probably keep this one. FSE H/T/S, VOW Fake F/H, and that good looking Ironwood furniture. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=449755&a=13465348&p=52740637

How's that back doing, Dan?

Back is about the same, worn out, raflesnacthing**!#%#!*^+$$@&^#^&*@ and so forth. Surgery is scheduled for the 15th at 1:00 pm. I will try and let you know on the 16th how I'm doing.

The rifle looks much better in person, all the mags were also finished and match up very well. Color match on lower and upper is great. Dan.

Hey Dan!

How are you wild man! Sorry you're about to go under the rubber mask, so take it easy. Most of us will still be here when you get back in working order.

Follow the instruction: GET WELL!

Nice L1A1 BTW!

God be with you and the family-

Looking forward to receiving my VOW CH so that we can complete our L1A1 kit. We'll try to post pics of L1A1 with DSA type 2 rec'r - not authentic, but convenient, and I do like he type 2.

Both Low and I will keep you in our prayers.

Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery

Just discovered this picture was posted. That's my L1A1 and it's a real beauty. The picture looks good but this L1A1 looks even better in person.

Sorry for honking my own horn. Dan did the work, and many thanks again Dan. All I did was pay for it.

Dan, where did you find the old pattern forend wood? I havn't seen those in years. I had one in Kapooka but after I left boot I never saw one again.
I am in the process of building another L1A1 and would love to snag one of those forends

Hey Kevin, the wood I used is from Ironwood Designs. Matt at Ironwood makes some really gorgeous products, these are made from Black American Walnut, they don't havethe metal inserts, but that is about the only difference. I have also received some of the early style hand guards in some of the L1A1 kits I have ordered from TAPCO.

I have these hand guards on sale, they are seconds and will need minor repairs and also will need to be finish sanded. Here is a link to the sale post. Thanks, Dan.
