Here is my "Dr. Evil". A 13" barrel with fake Browning flashhider. It's DSA's Compact Elite frontend on an Imbel receiver and a STG58 lower. Also has TNT's para sight on it, for those of you who haven't seen them yet.

Soon to come, "MiniMe", a copy of this rifle only it will be a folder built on a pre-ban SAR48 receiver. :D :D :D

Opinions please, how would this rifle look with OD Green finish and black furniture?

That's a real good looker. I like the shorty front end.

Too Cool! ! How's it shot! To keep the evil black gun look, Dr. Evil should be left Black!

Yeah, I thought about that myself. It's just I'm dying to refinish something in OD Green. Maybe I'll do something else and redo these two in black.
I've got one of the Hesse receivers coming, maybe I'll build something and do a OD Green, Earth Brown and Black camo version.
First I have to finish "MiniMe" to go with this one.
By the way, sorry for two pics of the photo. I just bought a new digital camera today and was trying different downloads, I just got tired of editing my post.

Oops forgot, it shoots pretty good. I had to bend the gas tube around a little to get gas piston to slide freely. I called DSA and asked for a solution and they told me that they use a wooden wedge and beat the thing under the tube until the piston moves freely. I need to take it out tomorrow after work and see if I can open up the gas port a little. Recoil is very slight because of the short barrel. I haven't put it on paper yet, been trying to work out the bugs. But then again, I don't expect a shorty to be a tack driver. It's for social work.

Great looking FAL. I think a change of grip to the HKG3 style from VOW would give it that extra evil look.
