Here are some pics of my STG-58 with the free floated barrel. My friends are shooting the FAL, I am much more handsome! With Sierra 175's it shoots 10 shot groups of 1.25 inches at 100 yards. Surplus military ammo is all
about 2.5-3.0 inch groups.
Without the float tube groups have inconsistent points of impact. I can
bend the groups down 2 feet and left 6 inches just using sling pressure.
Off the bipod or sandbags the groups all string vertically (no float tube).
Basically with the float tube the STG-58 acts like a real rifle.
