L1A1 from Tapco w/Hesse receiver, TAPCO short brake, FSE H/T/S, DSA gas piston. Waiting on wood pistol grip. I'm going to send it to Texas Armament for park'ing. Seems to have a loose gas system- setting 0 cycles sluggishly but any higher fails to extract or only halfway.

I dunno about the re-park - I think it looks pretty cool now! Please tell me your original wood did not look that good - where'd you get wood like that??????? I would have thought it was ironwood but you didn't mention it in your description.....

Yessir - sittin' on the porch in my rockin' chair, holdin' my FAL - let's see those neighbors get irate now! :D

That's the original wood from the kit. The handguards that came originally were solid wood, split and cracked. TAPCO sent these laminate ones as replacements!!!!!! The pistol grip they sent was as bad as the first one and the second time they sent one it was off a G1(?) New one coming from gunthings.com soon. I had to do some pretty extensive dremeling to get the thing to run so refinishing is a must. Bare metal in Louisiana isn't a good thing. :D
