Is that the Federal arms brake I see on that fal? Do you like it?

it is the Fed Arms brake, and yes I like it quite a bit. Recoil is less than an unbraked .223, muzzle climb is negligable.

Full auto in a lightweight carbine is easily managable with that brake.

It is of course loud, and it doesn't really imitate the "look" of any of the military muzzle devices, so some don't like it.

He was the one who initially turned me on to the mighty FAL, when I fired his STG in full rock and roll mode and kept the entire mag "in the black" (man shaped silouette target) at 50 yards, I was smitten....
