Hi Guys;
After asking for an FN-49 here on the files, A local fellow sent me e-mail & had one for Sale.
Here are a few pics and if anyone has some or any suggestions for the FN-49, I would certainly like to here them. I have just ordered up some 8mm Yugo ammo today.
This is an Egyptian 8mm version and all numbers seem to match. They are Egyptian but the Characters appear to be the same :D http://members.nbci.com/wa2rqy/left1.jpg http://members.nbci.com/wa2rqy/leftmuzzle.jpg http://members.nbci.com/wa2rqy/toprcvr.jpg http://members.nbci.com/wa2rqy/crest.jpg http://members.nbci.com/wa2rqy/leftrcvr.jpg http://members.nbci.com/wa2rqy/ritercvr1.jpg http://members.nbci.com/wa2rqy/ritestock1.jpg
Oh, there is a small, inletted disc on the right side of the stock, I removed the screw and the silvered colored washer appears to be brass colored on the backside. Is there supposed to be any markings on this disc? If not, what was it for?
Tnx all.

Hmm they are not opening for me. You can post them directly by typeing then cut and paste the web address.....right click on them and look under properties and then follow with No spaces in between anywhere.

The disk in the stock is a tradition in Europe - common feature on most Mauser bolt action rifles.

The disk is used to mark the unit, and/or sometimes 'slot number' in the racks.
