Mutt with VOW grip

Here's a pic of my mutt after installing the excellent Tactical grip w/o the palmshelf from Dan at VOW. My mutts bloodline is R1,shortened Izzy HB,Smith brake,Imbel,DSA internals,Austrian sling. All parts are original finish at this point. I plan to keep it bushworn, either by blueing it or maybe even browning it. I like the "been there, killed that," look it has now. I just want everything to match.

I was considering doing the exact same thing to atleast one of mine. How many holes show in the bottom as a result of leaving off the shelf? Can you post a closeup?

There are no holes, as the grip was made without the palmself on purpose. I can't do any real good pics, as I just have a $50- digital camera. I hope to get a better one soon.
