Playing with a new camera tonight and thought I'd share pics of my FALs.
Bottom is an ARS STG-58 with 18" barrel and Hess buttstock.
Center is my home project STG-58 on an Imbel receiver with Hess buttstock. Rich@CGW barreled and headspaced it.
Top is my SAR-48 Izzy.
Hard to believe a couple of months ago I never held a FAL. http://www.fnfal.com/forums/smile.gif

Nice family! I like the laminated buttstock on the bottom rifle-looks great! I guess one day I will have to break down and get my third FAL-as I have a graving for an "Izzy" style. Can't explain why? Just want one!!!
Right now I an concentrating my efforts on my XMAS present(Savage M-99 in 250-300 cal.)
Note of Interest: Today I picked up three boxes of once fired 250 Savage brass in the original boxes-marked "SAVAGE High Power Ammunition. Cases headstamped "SAVAGE 250 Savage". I never knew SAVAGE ever produced their own line of ammunition............

Cliff,
Really nice set of triplets you have there http://www.fnfal.com/forums/smile.gif
Does Hess make full furnature sets out of that gray/black laminate?
That buttstock on your center STG-58 looks too cool, A full set of wood like that would look....daaaaaaaamn!!

That's a Pachmeyer buttpad that came with the stock.
Don't know if Hess had complete wood sets or not..

Hesse was clearing stuff out couple months ago and had the black laminated HG/BS set for a good price. They got some awful plastic coating but make a nice home project so picked up a set for myself. Dont know if they made made matching PGs tho.

At times I do. I'm glad it went to somebody that really appreciates it. I knew if I kept it, I would eventually un-wrap it and shoot it.
