Just make sure that when you build them, you finish them in drab colors. They're attracted to, and will take notice of, shiny things.

Good eyes! I met a sweet little girl when I was 19, she was 5'2" and drank Wild Turkey like a linebacker, I was smitten (with her) but only the turkey is still with me.....(it was WC Fields who said, "My first wife drove me to drink....and I never got the chance to thank her!")

Thanks Cliff, it IS a nice M1A (You oughtta know eh?)

...But that's actually a FLARE launcher doncha know...I havn't had a "real" launcher since I left the service...

Its little details like that that the media (and police) like to throw around to make us law abiding citizens look like wacko's... http://www.fnfal.com/forums/wink.gif

Opps,
Wasn't meant that way. It seemed obvious to me it would be a demil or flare gun.
Guess it would be like somebody calling my Izzy http://www.fnfal.com/forums/biggrin.gif, a machine gun. Un-informed persons would believe it... http://www.fnfal.com/forums/smile.gif

Yorick,
Here's a bizarre OT question. What is the wood on the walls? I'm in the process of building my walk in gun vault and that wood looks quite nice.

Thanks,
Joel

The wood is cedar. A storm wrecked my privacy fence so when I had it rebuilt, I salvaged as much of the old weathered cedar 1x6's I could.

Stored the wood in the garage for a while and when the wife made me move the guns out of the den I used it as paneling over the cement walls in the basement.

As you can see, I ran out of wood before I got the entire space done, but you are right, it looks good (esp if you like the rustic look) and it nicely eliminates the normal "musty" basement smell. I think it would be an ideal liner for a walk in gunsafe! One of these days I'll stop blowing money on FAL's and finish the paneling http://www.fnfal.com/forums/wink.gif http://www.fnfal.com/forums/wink.gif
