JUst scored a cannister of Blue Dot at sale. It, along with the 500 or so bullets from same will see me well in the future for PD 10mm loads. I *do* have a pile'o'HC lead and plenny powder for practice stuff :D

In my quest for a load to (somewhat) duplicate factory "premium" PD loads, I found that the lighter bullets do not like the Accurate #2 or #5, Clay's or few other pwders I've tried. Now that I have a supply of 180's; I need to find a receipe for same that will cook well with Blue Dot.

Any affficianado's have a card on Blue dot?

TIA,
Paul

Blue Dot. (Hodgon)

180 gr jacketed

Start load:
8.8gr.....vel. = 1129fps. cup = 26,400

Max. load:
9.1 gr.....vel. = 1218fps. cup = 28,200

(Alliant)

180gr JHP.... 10.4 gr.= 1,220fps at 35,800 psi

Ken Waters said 9.5grs with 180gr Sierra JHP was near max at 1,140 fps

Somebody talked me out of a Colt Delta Elite years ago so I no longer load this cartridge. :cry:

Check out Glock Talk.

They have a dedicated 10mm reloading forum that lists a bunch of loads. Blue Dot seems to be one of the more popular powders for higher end loads.
