Is it too terribly difficult? Or is it even worth the time or effort?

You have to find the 5 spot welds holding the trunion in place and drill them out, pull the whole barrel/trunion and then press out the retaining pin and then press the barrel out and then strip the triple frame off. I don't know if the triple frame is attached the cocking tube or not, nor do I know if you can pull the trunion without messing up the reciever. Then after everything is put back on the trunion you need to put it in squarely and back far enough.
I'm sure it can be done, cause I need to do the same myself as well as reset the depth of my trunion placement as the monkeys at Century didn't set mine far enough back to engage the magazines.

I think you can do it in the receiver. I had a mp5 barrel swaped out. They can press it in the receiver. .
You can do it with the trunion in the receiver. Not a big deal if you have a press and some simple fixtures.
