View Full Version : Breeching washer for L1A1

I'm trying to put together an inch kit. Apparently I need a breeching washer. I was wondering if it is something I can procure locally or is it special order type deal? What is it made of, what are the dimensions?

The ID is 1.050" and the OD is somewhat larger than that. It is made of the rare earth unobtanium and machined using special diamond bits for a glass-smooth surface that prevents galling against the barrel shoulder. The better ones come with two special laser-cut flats to accept the handguard ring. These are on sale right now at Chuck-n-Hillary's Gun Emporium.

Help with Breaching Washer (http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=206562)
What size would you be needing. These are made to 1" ID and 1.1875 OD. I just need to get to the surplus yard to get some steel. They are $10 a piece or 3 ( for those of us that are not too sure which size to buy) for $25. This includes S&H.
