I have a project that requires me to buy some FHs and I need to know the outside diameter of the Austrian STG58 Flashider. Is it the same as Imbel/Belgian combo devices?

In addition, what are the differences between the Belgian combo device and the Imbel. The wrench flats are in different places. Are they the same length?

They are the same diameter, because they were all designed to accept a rifel grenade wich is teh sux.

Okay, so what is the actual diameter? 22mm?

Yes... not that I actually ever paid any attention to sech thangs since I'm not in the habit of shooting off grenades, even at feral cats. Standard NATO size, works with several other rifles too.

The size is 22mm. Early Belgian combo devices had the flats in the middle and came in two styles, LH and RH threads. The late pattern Belgian and Imbel FH are identical for what it concerns, IE flats near the rear

well, its an official 22mm, although most are slightly smaller. 21.8-22.0

Thank you. This weekend I took a pair of calipers to the Argy and Imbels FHs I have sitting around. Mine are all between 21.76 and 21.85.

I was wanting to know because the GT G5 adapter has a 21.8mm OD. This will allow me to drill out and attach the STG FH to the back of the adapter.
