Wow DSA ROCKS! I ordered my kit on the 21st and it was at my house here in Oregon yesterday the 26th.
The wood butstock has been repaired of cracks on both sides. The bore looks shiney and above average. The old h/g and p/g are in great shape. The bipod and metal butplate are brand new. The park job is outfricken' standing, with everything including the ejector block, bolt/carrier ect. wearing a brand new dark DSA parkerized finish.

Just got my second DSA refinished kit last night. Wish I could afford a few more. These are a great deal, especially considering that the new handguards go for $40 on their site.
Lower is used G1, a little peening visible under the park, but otherwise nice. Barrel very nice, gas block cleaned up nicely. What makes these a deal in my opinion is that they used a new bipod and hardware, installed the new handguards, and used new screws almost everywhere. They do not refinish "crappy" parts. Anyone with an STG that needed to upgrade could use this kit minus the barrel. I hope to acquire a few more before they run out or quit offering the refinish.

Good stuff. I got 6 of them. Too bad they are not all mine. Building for friends and family.

Believe me they aren't getting them for free! But they are getting them at cost + a split of the cost for the tools required. It's a great way to get the tools without having to pay all of the cost.

I'm interested. I can't find any mention of the wood being refinished on the DSA website. Is this the kit you are talking about? DSA Parts kits (http://www.dsarms.com/otherparts.htm) (scroll to FAL G1 kit). I sold my Entreprise POS and I am looking to build something better.

Lukejt, the wood you have to refinish, but the rest of the kit is ready to put together.
IMHO a very good value for your money.
I am patiently waiting for mine next week.
Best of luck young grasshopper, choose wisely :D
I just kill myself

Thanks Brian. I was really dissapointed in my Entreprise STG58C. Now that I sold it, I find myself looking at all the FAL parts kits in the Shotgun News again. I think I can handle refinishing the wood, but I don't know how to repair cracks in the stock.
