I ordered a receiver through them on 8-31-01. I have waited patiently for the order to arrive, but no receiver has come. I tried to call, but always got a busy signal. I emailed them, but with no response. Today, I tried to call again and I get a message that the phone number is no good. Does anyone have a clue as what is going on. I will email agian and try agian to call, lets see what good it will do.

I spoke to Lori late last week and she told me that mine had shipped a day or so before...I opted to wait for the "new and improved" version. I ordered mine on or about August 18. My FFL just called to tell me that it had arrived this morning and that he was impressed. He said "it was nice"...

BTW, never have spoken to Dwight but Lori is a sweetheart who always has the time to answer whatever question I have or find the answer and let me know.

and NO, I do not work for or on behalf of Williams Arms...just my .02 worth.

My receivers arrived yesterday. I ordered them 8/14. They were actually delivered weeks ago but were shipped back for the newer version. These are absolutely
beautiful receivers!! Pics don't do them justice. Can't wait to start building.

He posted a couple of times today, one on the General Discussion. I know you probably tried, but did you email Dwight himself?
How about emailing George Gouger, he works for Williams now.
I know what you mean though. When you order something, you would think it would take less than a month to get there. Or at least let you know what's happening. It seems Williams always gets back to you in fairly good time, makes me wonder what's up with your order.

I just got my "redo" back yesterday! I think they're covered up with orders! I hear they're well worth the wait, I haven't tried mine(2nd One) out yet. I should get it assembled tomorrow!

I tried to email you, however with your email blocked, it makes it difficult!! :(
Our phones I do admit have been extremely busy the last few weeks, so feel free to email your order #, and I will check on your order status right away.

srgreg1- synopsis on new williams rcvrs
unlike me you prob haven't been daily checking in on the "Files".Anyway, shortly after the rcvrs. were initially shipped,it was posted that there were locking shoulder holes oversized&some bolt holdopen probs.&
mismatch w/ DSA lightwgt lowers&bbl timing Mr. Williams
voluntarily ceased shipping, checked things out on his end&discovered that there were
program glitches on CNC machine. He then voluntarily offered to replace ones that had already been shipped. He also heldup production until he had made a couple of no charge upgrades like pre milling the rcvrs to accept folding cocking handles. Delivery just resumed w/in the last several days.

I don't think he's actually started pre-milling the metric receivers to accept folding cocking handles yet - he was just asking about interest....

kotengu:

Yes, that's correct. We haven't started building the Inch Folding C/H on the Metric receivers yet. I was interested in the response of people who would be interested in such modification.

If there becomes enough interest in the design, I will make those available in about 2 weeks.

Well, it has been a week since I posted this topic. I got through to to Williams on the phone, but got a run-around and was told someone would email me as to when my receiver would ship. I have yet to get a reply. I will attempt to call agian tomorrow, we will see if I get the same answer as the first time I called.

I can understand the Frustration! I sent a rifle off to be built in April (Not to Williams Arms ;)) and still haven't gotten it and now no word on ETA

Since I don't know who you are since your email is blocked, makes communication difficult. However, you are more than welcome to call and speak to our folks in our sales department between 8:00 am and 5:00 p.m. PST. @ 1-866-308-2002 (Toll free).

I can assure you that given the appropriate information, that can answer any of your questions.

Calling our sales line for shipment inquires is typically much more effective in receiving a response than posting on the review board, for future reference.

We're here if you would like to call.

I answered the phones Friday & Monday, as Lori was visiting her son, before he deplys out.

Since we have only a screen name, it's tough
to help. I have helped out a number of people who have called.

Thanks, George @ Dbl G

I called today before leaving for work and I guess I talked to Lori. She told me to expect my receiver in about another 2-3 weeks. I wish it was sooner. All my other parts have been stripped and refinished, I have all my U.S. parts are here, and all the tools to put my FAL together. Just need the receiver and maybe a locking shoulder, I have three and hopefully one will work. At least I know when to expect it and I am not in the dark.

I'll tell ya what,

You let me know "who" you are besides a screen name, via e-mail and / or phone call,
and I will personaly find out when / where
your rec was ordered, and when to expect it.

"Screen Names" don't help much.

I will be here untill 5 pm Pacific Time.

Munster: I've had ALL of them build one. The only one that would give an ETA, let alone met the ETA, was Rich at CGW. A couple told me how many weeks it would be, and both missed the delivery date by two months, with a bunch of excuses, the "ole next week
for sure". This was BEFORE the Imbels, G1's, and Inch Kits hit the market!!
I think Rich/CGW makes his promised date as he has you make a reservation to ship. His work wasn't as "fancy" as some others(paint on all markings). He
does paint the important markings, and
his work is as good, or better, than a couple.
I just got back the last Kit I had built...it took ALOT longer. What's irritating is that it wasn't remarked or renumbered to match, let alone the markings highlighted. So, I'm sending it back for what I specified & paid extra for. I'll build the rest of my
Kits, as it's obvious that for now it's quantity over quality, and will likely remain so for quite awhile.
I'll have Gunthings do the refinishing
as it's getting too cold in MN to work in the garage(maintaining finishing temps).

George at Williams Arms emailed today to tell me that my receiver is being shipped today. I am so excited to finish putting my FAL together. :D
