found an add in shotgun news from sog they have fal clone L1A1 sporter with two mags item#slg-l1a1s for 419.95 retails for 679.00 is this gun worth a crap i am not going to shoot it much 250 rounds a year tops need so info thanks a lot ----the hawk :D

I have one....not bad other than the gas piston was bent, had to order new one. Finish could be a little better....I'm gonna paint the handguards, they are parked and don't look right. New (or rebuilt) barrel, everything else looks very good. Bare A$$ muzzle, needs brake!!

I have one of the L1A1s that you asked about. It's better than the Centurys of old.
IMHO its worth the money. The L1A1s have plastic furniture so refinishing is not necessary.
