I have already posted one positive review of this company in the past, but I wanted to show evryone these pics. I was very happy with the quality of work on my last order,but this time I was even more amazed! I sent Jim Meredith an L1A1 barrel with some other small parts from a kit I bought from FAC. I also sent an old blued Remington mod. 870 12 ga. barrel that had been cold blued over some pitting. (yuck) I decide to have it parked, hoping it would look more "at home" on my 870 Express.
All parts were manganese phoshated.
The L1A1 barrell came back absolutely gorgeous! It looks like a brand new barrel. Not one flaw. They even turned off some nicks and wrench marks from the de-mil on the lathe. The color is near-black. Same with the bolt carrier. All other parts are a nice dark grey or grey-black, depending on hardness. I scuffed up the flash hider removing it from the barrel, but you have to look very close to see any sign of damage now. Prep work and attention to detail by Jim & co. is exceptional. The icing on the cake was the white highlighting of the numbers on the gas adjustment ring. Drool! The shotgun barrel is a nice even dark grey. It's actually closer in color to the receiver than the picture shows. I couldn't be happier with the results!
Jim kept me constantly updated with receipt, progress and shipping e-mails. Parts were returned very clean and securely packaged. Fast turnaround. They treated my little project just as if it were a big ticket order. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong dealing with PCS Inc. A first rate company and a first rate guy.
