Well, I finally had it with Robar. I have been talking with Macs at Shootiniron.com about my problem, and I thought I would have to finally share it with the members here.

Last January I mailed two Stg58's to Roadkill Bar to coat them in Roguard. I got them back after four months of waiting with the following observations: rust on the bipod, handgaurd where the screw goes through to tighten sides together broken, my BHO was Roguarded so that last round would not activate the BHO-so it was basically Roguarded shut. On top of it all there was blast media still in the lowers of both! Ant-hills?

All that cost me $600.00 plus shipping.

I sent the one rifle with the rust and BHO problem back on May 31st and got them back in August and observed the following: BHO now works but there is almost no Rogaurd on the moving part and what is left of the Roguard is flaking off. The rust that was on the rifle was Roguarded over and is bubbleing up!

My advise is if you want a tough finnish on your rifle take it to Macs or one of the other Smiths on board or in my case urinate on it to make a pitina...

Go to Hell Tad!

Aaaah, Robar: the best finish in the world(just ask them), and also the most expensive. There are alot of gun owners that worship at the altar of Robar, as they get rave reviews by gun mag writers that got their's done for free.
After paying $600 for such shabby service twice, I'd post that on EVERY
gun forum I could find. I'd demand a refund, including all shipping costs.
Every once in awhile a refinisher will
screw-up, then correct it. You were more than reasonable in trying to have Robar resolve this.

I don't really want to wait another 4 months to get more damage done to my rifles! When I first got the rifles from them they looked good but functioned bad, then the rust became apparent ( rusted more after I unrapped them). If the trend continues and I send them back and wait then they should come back charred...

I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS BUT "Robar" CHANGED OUT MY BARREL ON ME AS WELL! I talked to Gerald over at Penguin Small Arms since he went to school around where I live and he suggested I post.

Man of his word, Gerald sent me stocks custom and I recommend him as both friend and on business.

I've seen some Robar stuff that was beautiful, and have heard they make decent custom guns.

I wonder why the poor worksmanship on the application of their coatings? It seems odd that they'd screw up that much, but I think I'll avoid them altogether now.
