I took the plunge and bought 2 of the Inter-Ordnance IMBEL kits for $119.00 each. They just came in and I'm pleasantly surprised.
All the parts are there. The bores are at least as good as the G-1 handpicks I got from TAPCO. They're bright with sharp rifling. The lower is in good shape with no dimpling. The handguards and stocks are also in good shape. Bolt and carrier show very little wear. The finish is worn but I intend to refinish anyway.
When figuring in the value of the pistol grip cleaning kits, magazines, mag loaders and bayonets they came with, the actual cost came out to be about $100.00 per kit. This was what I paid for an R-1 more than a year ago and these are twice the kit that my R-1 was. Overall they were certainly worth the money. :)
