Bought the scope/rings/mount combo from Mark (FWRA) Russian scope is great. Rings are OK. Scope mount is a POS! wouldn't fit on my Imbel receiver without dremal work. While tightening it 3 out of 4 screws stripped. The threads on the mount were fine, it was the cheap Chinese screws that stripped. The unit itself shows a lack of quality. For $68 I'd rather have the DSA instead. In retro spect I should have just ordered the scope and skipped the rest. I may keep the rings, but the scope mount is going into the garbage to be written off as a "should have done it right the first time" lesson

I got one of those package deals from FWRA. My mount was fine no fitting required and was rock solid. Although a couple of the screws look like they had been tightened with a rounded off screw driver, I assumed at the factory because the package was sealed. I thought all in all it was a good deal. I wouldn't throw it away! Give Mark a call I'm sure he'll make it right!

Good Luck

New Shot,

Before you go off half cocked, have you talked to Mark? He is a great guy and will make the deal right.
I bought one of his packages and am VERY, VERY happy with. I still need to zero the scope but other than that I had NO problem mounting it and the crew tightened like they were suppose to.
Prehaps you over torqued them.

Sorry, I didn't mean any ill will towards Mark. I've bought from him before and he's a great guy. I love his specials. The mount probably does fit most FAL's fine, just not mine. I was under the impression that it was a good mount compared to the DSA for less money. Well it's not. Leapers vs. DSA is like Yugo vs. Lexus. The locking bars are crudely cut and it just seems cheap. I had to dremel the inside 'cause it wouldn't slide on without alot of force. I don't think I over torqued the screws as I was still pre-tightening them. I posted this here just as a review. I would not recommend this mount, that's all. It's probably A good mount for the price, but I think spending a few extra bucks for quality is worth it. I guess I shouldn't have mentioned Mark's name, but when I originally wrote this I was just using it as a reference and I'm sorry about that. I wouldn't think of asking Mark for any type of exchange/refund because I took a dremel to it and that was my choice. Besides I think that the scope is worth a $100 alone so I'm still a satisfied customer.
