I received my US made humpback stock from Penguin Small Arms Works (aka Gerald) on Friday. Gotta say "I love it!".

I received the matt finish stock which looks much darker than in the photos on their website. Mine had been oiled and looked great right out of the package. Fit was perfect. Took about three minutes to install, no filing, no inletting.

Took it to the range this weekend and found my rifle far more comfortable to shoot than my straight STG stock. Better and more comfortable sight picture. Besides, a humpback just looks cool.

Thanks Gerald!

Could you post contact info? Do they make other high quality parts?

Mine came today. looks great. USPS put two scratches/dings on the side. but I will live with it. not worth the nightmare of sending it back out. looks too darn good on one side to take if off.

Gun Collector, USPS damaged it inspite of the protective form wrapping around the stock? How'd they do that? Stick a knife through the box??

Hey you waited a long time for the stock and I want you to be totally happy with your Penguin purchase. If you pay for shipping both ways, I'll send you another one. I'll just eat the loss for the first stock. Email or call me about it.

I guarantee you won't have a nightmare getting a replacement. Since Penguin is a new outfit, my goal is to set the standard for offering great products AND great service.

gun_collector,
why not fill out a claim form with usps????
doesn't make sense that you should eat it nor gcc for that matter????

Here are a few pictures of my new stock. The handguards are DSA to compare with the matte stock color. Pistol grip is STG surplus.

Tom, glad to see you got your stock. BTW, is that a DSA grip? My DSA grip matches perfectly with the humpback.

Yea, I saw GCC's stock at Enterprise when I was picking up my L1A1 from the custom shop a few weeks ago.

I also ran into Gerald (GCC) at this past weekend shoot at Burro Canyon. The stock sets he brought over were a work of art. http://www.fnfal.com/forums/smile.gif

I'll definitely pick up a set for my next STG kit that I have built up.

I'll have to wait patiently for the inch version to put on my L1A1.

It was real nice meeting you at Burro Canyon Gerald, hope to see you at the next shoot in Febuary. We exchanged emails... I'm the guy with the UZI.

Rich, it was great to meet you. The Burro Canyon shoot was the most fun I've ever had with semi autos. I wish we had the bumpfiring AKs down on video....and that 50 cal taking out the VCR.....hot damn. We should send that back to Mitsubishi with the warranty card and ask them what's wrong with it. http://www.fnfal.com/forums/wink.gif

I'm DEFINITELY in for the Feb shoot, just wish it was this weekend.
