View Full Version : WII $99 kit (pics)

I ordered the grade III kit from WII. To be honest, I didn't expect much from this kit at that price. I have amassed a lot of spare parts, and I figured anything I needed to replace wouldn't be much of a problem. I was mainly looking for a kit to put on an Enterprise type III receiver for a friend of mine. The parts came full of grease in a plastic bag. After wiping globs of grease off, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the kit was. There isn't much finish from the handguards forward, but all the numbers match. The furniture is in excellent condition with only minor scratches. The handguard is bipod cut, but the barrel is not. What came as a pleasant surprise was that this came off of a type III receiver as you can see in the pictures. The lower is also type III; the first I have ever gotten. I believe it will look nice when refinished and assembled.

Excellent! I also got my kit from WII, and it turned out to be very nice indeed. It didn't come soaked in grease, which made the cleaning much easier. The bore is very nice, there is some wear but other than that it's great. The only thing is the magazine that came with my kit stinks. Most of the finish was still left on the rifle with the exception of the forward end of the barrel and the dust cover.

BTW, I don't see the bayonet in the picture... di you get one? I got one, not too shabby either! :D

I got my kit Yesterday. Caked with greese, but its in excellent + condition. Most of the finish forward of the front site is remaining. Barrel is also excellent + condition without any pitting and is bipod cut with bipod cut handguards. I'm going to hate replacing the near perfect facotry parts with US parts

Got mine on Thursday. It's even nicer than the $140 kits from the same source and way nicer than the $99 R1 kit from last year.

I hope I get mine. I've emailed scott 5 times in the last week. It looks like he charged my account on the 10th. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Got mine finally....it's in about a million pieces and about halfway sand-blasted right now. :) It was better than expected, real good bore, still had about 80% finish, the lower reciever had the worst finish. The butt pad is trashed, but that was about the only unusable part. It's gonna clean up and make a real nice rifle, probably gonna chop the barrel and make a carbine actually! :D

Got mine on Thursday and just got the grease off of it today. It's really nice. It has about 85% of the original finish. Haven't really cleaned the bore yet, but it looks really good. The butt and handguards could be better, but that's about all that could be, especially for the price. I bought it as a spare parts kit, but I may just have to build up a rifle on it.

Got mine a week or two ago. Both would rate a solid Good. Both bores VG with no visible pitting. The rifles were used as the internals show wear. Furniture is fine with only minor scratchs. One has more finish then the other. Now I just need to get the FHs off. Excellent deal for $99.

Who is WII? I got a kit like that from Interordnance. It was just as they said, handled alot but almost unfired. :D
