There are currently a lot of IDF Trilux scopes being sold on E bay. Most of them are from the same seller, who has a large selection, including some NEW ones. He does not have the FAL topcover mounts :(
I bought a used scope for $129 - best price Ive seen yet.

I have been watching the Trilux(s) on ebay for a while,, the prices seem to float all over,, even with-in the same seller. If your seller is the one,, he has new for 220 and rebuilt for 269??
I think these come with the original illuminator cap,, so you can add your own

When it arrives,, lets see some pictures.. pls..
and your impressions of the unit..
Did you get the weaver or rail mount?
Thanks

That's the nature of the beast in open auction. You never know when you'll be bidding against someone (and whether or not that someone has any idea of the true value of what they are bidding on), and when there won't be any interest other than yourself.

I bought one of the "excellent, refurbished" ones. Arrived today, haven't had a chance to really look at it but I liked what I did see. Glass looked good, pointer looked good, everything seemed tight. The rubber piece was held in with a band, which I like. It was Brit-labelled, not Israeli. Not bad for about $180 shipped.
Pretty good deal. Now, if brownknees would just get back to work (http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=157376), I'd be all set. ;)

Ha! I betcha didn't think I was looking.
I still can't find someone who has a volume supply of vials.
2's & 3's no problem. Then I ask for 50 and whammo, got to get em in 2's & 3's.
In a way I've kind of given up on ever finding a reliable quantity supplier. After about 30 failed attempts it seems like it just ain't gonna happen.
The best bet is to get a couple of the ones that fit, in the color you want from the e-bay guy that gets them in dribs & drabs & then it's just really simple fitting.
The nice thing about the SUITS on this post is that they have the holders.

The nice thing about the SUITS on this post is that they have the holders. I've seen the vials advertised, but the idea of playing around in the guts of a scope gives me the willies. I'm not a scope guy - and I was never that great when I was a microscope jockey either.
I don't suppose there's a contractable service to install these, hint, hint...

You're not really getting into the scope's optics at all. The holder is in a seperate sealed little chamber, and seperated from the potical tube by an alloy wall.
If you decide to get one let me know & I'll do a custom surgery for you. I think I'll call the proceedure a "Vialectomy"

Got my scope today - 2 days after paying for it.
Condition is fantastic. Optics are perfect and original finish is an easy 95%. Scope is Isreali.
Not bad for $129
