Hippo Pack!

Just recieved my "used" Hippo Pack from TAPCO today! Other than a bit faded it's in perfect condition! It holds 8-20 round mags in 4-2 mag pockets. It is seperated into two sections...each section includes 2-2 mag pouches and a larger pouch capable of holding an MRE with enough room left over to slide your hand down in front of, or a .30 cal. cleaning kit, or 6 packs of guitar strings, or 5 more 20 round magazines or "Wild Geese" movies! It's made out of "WWII" type canvas by the way and will comfortably fit up to a 42 inch waist. I'm very happy with the "used" version so the "new" version must be perfect!

I would like to know if anyone knows how to find the suspenders that obviously went with it?

I received mine about 2 weeks ago, pretty nice but, the guy that had it before like to write his name on his gear alot.

I got mine pretty much all decked out now, exc braces, 2 mag pouches, waterbottle holder, and holster. I also picked up the large pack to go with it. All very nice stuff, and pretty quick turnaround.

I highly recommend that you get the suspenders for that pack if they weren't included from Tapco. Looks like the SWATshop has them listed as "Braces".

My set from TAPCO had some straps, approx 12 inches, sewn to the belt. What are these for, or how are they used?

I tried the "swatshop" and found "Pattern 70 braces"...is this what I am looking for? Also...how do you order stuff from these guys??? When I click on the Order page it comes up "File Not Found".
