Watch out for Tapco because once you do business with them you'll be so amazed at the products they have and their great customer service that you'll end up buying more and more from them.

I just received their "10 Pack" of FN mags today. UNBELIEVABLE! Where do they find this stuff? It looks like it was just packaged in Herstal last week. This was a great deal. I wish I could afford more.

Thanks Tapco. :)

I was thinking of getting some of those. Those'll work in the Stg-58, right? The fact they were made in the 50's and 60's doesn't matter, right?

Boy are you lucky. I saw your post "Watch Out For Tapco" and thought I'd dive right in and come to their defense. Glad you like them. For me, they're the best thing to "come down the pike" as Grandpa Simpson says. Great prices, great service, great products, and a great bunch of guys (and Cynthia, too).

Yes, Tapco is a great company with good customer service and prices. My only beef with them is that sometimes when it gets real busy over there, no one picks up the phone. It just rings and rings and rings....

I figure at least stick an answering machine or something on the line, so that way they could call me back.

Bioprof & TooTech,

Thanks for the endorsements of the mags. I just ordered mine. :D

Now a question, I ordered 1,000 rounds of Hirt from SOG, and when I called to see if it was shipped (it wasn't) I asked if I could call back and get my tracking number when it did ship. The lady told me they don't give out tracking numbers. That really strikes me as odd, since every business I have ordered from has either sent me an email with the tracking number or given it to me on my return call. They said it takes too much time to have to answer the call and give that info. Isn't that called customer service? Does anyone else sell Hirtenberger battle packs that cheap, because I'd rather give my business to a company that helps me out.

Update: I just called Tapco again and talked to the same girl who took my order (Sandra). Great CS skills, and guess what, she took my email address to send me my tracking number when the mags shipped. Imagine that!

I had a little omission in my last order (hey things happen and we all make mistakes). A quick email to Cynthia and the parts were on their way via priority mail. She was kind, courteous, and helpful in her corespondances with me. Tapco gets an A+ and my business in the future. :)

If you read Fallschirmjäger's follow up post again you'll see that it was SOG that wouldn't give him the tracking # (odd because they have given me mine in the past, though it took three days).

Also, it looks like Fallschirmjäger points out that unlike SOG, the sales rep at Tapco proactively requested his e-mail address so she could send him the tracking number.

Tapco has their customer service so revved up, they're apologizing for SOG's shortcomings. :D

Glad someone caught that. Funny how when reading things online you can skip over info pretty easy. I guess I need to email Tapco so they know the poop...

Well, that's interesting; Tapco's email button says it's blocked. I hope Tapco reads (and rereads) this thread so they can see they weren't the ones refusing the tracking number...

Fallschirmjäger:

I emailed Cynthia about her post. I hope she didn't get on the defensive because of my thread title. I was just having a little fun to get peoples attention. We all know how great Tapco is. The "10 pack" of mags is just amazing. The label says mine was packaged in April of 1963 and it looks brand new. What a find! It's great to find a company that really seems to care about its customers. :) :) :)

CMR, I asked a question in the sale thread (Marketplace) about a money order option on the test sale page.

Any ideas?

Thanks :D

Just received today another of my many orders from Tapco, and agree Tapco is the best out there. Now, if I can figure out a way to send in another order without my better half finding out.

Tappco is so good that whenever I receive a mialing from them, I get FIVE copies every time. I figure it works well, one in each bathroom and another on the coffee table in the family room.

THE MOST TERRIBLE THING AT TAPCO IS:

they don't ship internationally!
I really wish they did.

Aah, but friends do!

Buddie, Bill, adn the gang at Tapco are genuinely interested in getting out good products. If you have a customer service problem, they also want to solve it. WE're all human [even the Evil Moderator! ;) ]

Got my mags today! They were shipped out priority, I assume because of the mix up with the phone center. The mags are new, what else can I say. each mag in a paper wrapper, all ten in a box that hasn't been opened since '63, and the box was then in a vacuum packed plastic wrap. They look so good I don't want to use them! :)

And again, SOG, which is 2 hours down the road, has yet to ship my ammo, which was in stock a week ago today when I ordered it.

Tapco Rules! :D I just wish I would have ordered more stuff with my first order!
