I would like to echo the positive comments made by others on this board regarding FSE and Harold Shinn. I was shooting my L1A1 yesterday and at round 159 I had a stoppage. When I couldn't clear it I opened the action and discovered the top half of my hammer lying inside the TMH. I notified Harold as soon as I got home via e-mail. Early this morning I had a reply from Harold stating that he would take care of the problem and asked only that I send him the broken Inch Hammer. For the record, Harold Shinn and FSE are top notch in my opinion. Thanks Harold!

I have to add to your post as well. It was a definite surprise when UPS delivered my replacement hammers after only corresponding with Harold two days ago. Of course I'm in Georgia but very quick none the less. Kudos.

Harold is first class.
I received my new hammer yesterday. You can see the change he made to the hammer to make it stronger.

Is there an obvious wasy to tell the "weak" hammers? Just for future reference how many of these hammers are floating around out there?

I just orderd three sets of your (hammer trigger sear) parts
from RPB on wednesday oct. 31 they have not arrived yet
but i was wondering if they are going to be of the new production or some of the bad ones that may have hammers that may fail?
should i return them on arrival.

Your sets should include the upgraded hammer. It is identifiable by having an "M"
engraved on it underneath the "FSE USA". If this is not the case, please let me know.
when they came on tuesday they all had the "M" boy was i glad. ;)
