I posted to the previous thread as a how to on swapping out the HTS. I was not familiar with this gun but did some research and found out that it is a Norinco RPK clone.

First off, these will continue to gain value as collector's items, and the more original it is the more value.

Assuming that it is a preban Norinco and not one smuggled into the country post ban you should know that it is compliant without stck set or G2 trigger parts.

My advice to you, although you didn't ask for it, is to leave it alone and use it gently at best. You do not need compliance parts on a preban as it is already compliant as imported.

Save your G2 set for a Romy blaster build.

nhm-91's are post import ban....not the same as the '94 ban. Still needs US parts to have pistol grip.

I was considering modding mine, but I came to the same conclusion...I'm just going to stash it in the back of the safe, in it's original factory configuration, and pick up a cheap WASR, or something similar, for blastin'.
