I have a butter box (500rds) of .22LR Western Super-X ammo, along with some Western Wildcat .22LR and Western Super-X 50rd matchboxes...

The butter box is in superb shape, and the little matchboxes inside are in mint condition.

The stand-alone matchboxes look really good as well, but are definitely not mint...

I have about 1,000rds total.

Just wondering how much this ancient ammo would be worth to a collector... Also, might sell/trade it to a collector... ;)

P.s. I also have two boxes of .30-06 Western Super-X ammo, but I won't give those up, at least for another few years/a Para FAL... ;)

No one knows??

Need pics? Here ya go...

First pic: Display... The .22 rounds pictured are red-box Federals, the .30-06 rounds are Winchester (after they dropped "Western") Super-X. All the other boxes are full, and I figured I'd use regular ammunition for the pics. :P

Second pic: Kinda fuzzy, but you can somewhat see the difference in wear... The top one was found independent, the bottom is one out of the brick...

Third pic: .30-06 box...

ALSO: The .30-06 boxes have price tags on them marked "Sears Roebuck & Co. $4.75"

I can't see your pictures, nothing sounds particularly old or collectible, 1950-60ish at the earliest, some is newer.

I am shooting older ammo regularly.

Hmmm... I think it's just because I hotlinked the pics from a new server, and don't yet know how to get around it...

So, you're saying this ammo isn't worth anything but ammunition?

Thanks,

I still have cases of Western Super X in the yellow boxes packed away, in 9mm, 38spl, 45acp & 38super.

I dont think it has any "collector" value, it isent even old enough to be "vintage" yet ;)
