Bear Damascus Knives

Anyone have experience with Bear knives, specifically the Bear damascus sold by Cabelas? They look like a good deal and are supposedly made in the USA... steel and all, they claim. I like the looks of their 8 inch Bowie style. Wuddaya think?

No offense meant, but since ya asked. Bear knives always looked kinda clunky to me. The one you see in Cabelas is the best one I've seen yet.

I've looked into Damacus before and found a decent blank costs well over $100. Never have seen or handled one of "Bears" creations so can't offer any help there.

I think you should go to the following website and buy the AK10. Then you can report back to me if ya like it or not so's I can know wether to buy one or not. :biggrin:

Wow, nice link there- some decent lookin damascus blades! Thanks~ My personal preference is the Bear white bone 9 incher. I smell trouble with the old woman comin up. But heck I just bought her a new battery for her car so she can get to work~

I like the looks of that knife. I wonder if they make one with another style blade. Dont care for the up swept tip.

Nice knives! Gotta love the marketing with the Boker German leopard damascus knives. Made from the barrel of a German Leopard battle tank.
