I am sure that it comes as no surprise to many of the veterans of this board the CMP Armory in near Charlotte, NC not only does exceptional work, but is very honorable, helpful, and trustworthy in their dealings.

Some of you may remember a STG58 that I bought back in December. It was an Entreprise kit on a Imbel receiver. The rifle was in pretty good shape but I decided to do a little more to it. I got some parts from DSA to make sure I had my 922r compliance and to change it from the STG look (which I don't particularly care for). So getting the parts in I decided to take the rifle to CMP Armory to have them repark it. It also had a bent bipod, and I needed them to time the Flash hider as well, and since they needed to take the rifle apart anyway I asked if they could check the headspace, and replace the stock and h-s-t (demanding little F*** ain't I). Well they not only did all that I asked they charged an EXTREMELY REASONABLE fee IMHO to do all this work. Hell they even reparked the STG parts I was taking off the rifle.

Two weeks ago, with no hassle at all. they returned the rifle to me. I must say the work is EXCEPTIONAL. The fit is great. The color is excellent. And the consistancy of that color is superb. I cannot thank them enough for the work they did.

Now for the pictures.

All in all I am very happy with my "new" rifle. I hope to take it out to the Hernando Sportsmans Club North of St. Pete this Saturday to give it a spin. Maybe I'll see some of Ya'll there.

It came out nice. I agree with you on the STG look, I very much dislike the handguards and the muzzle device. My 3 STG FAL's all have different handguards, either DSA or Izzy and either no muzzle device, or the SA/Imbel type.

How you adjusting to FL? Bought a boat yet?

I liked it before, but hey, the "new look" isn't too bad either.

I love the STG-58's look...:fal:
