Anyone reloading the RG brass with BLC-2 or 4895?

I have used Varget. IIRC I used 25.7 grains on a 55 gr FMJ. I would have tried a hotter load, but 26 grain is all I could get in without spilling powder everywhere.

I just got a line on 8000 pieces of the brass today. Will load a bunch more of the same load if I can get it.

A heads up, I have a few hundred RG .223 brass in the mill that gets loaded, shot, loaded. No problems so far. (I use 4198, BTW)

So, I got some RG .308 in the pile a while back. Stuck-broke a decapping pin in it. WTF ? I sez. Turns out the flash hole is smaller than the LC and commercial .308 (or any other boxer brass I have of any caliber) After a couple cautious tests with all the RG .308 showing undersize holes, I set it aside.

Kinda sux to run a case up in the dies like ya think all is good and have that happen.

BTDT. If you have enough of it to stress over, just take a drill bit of the (closest) correct size to 'normal' flash holes, and drill them out. Tedious and time consuming, but it works just fine. :]
