for 150gr bullets?
I'm going to start with 43 grs but my book sayeth that the cup pressures are higher than powders at similar velocities.

I've used IMR4064 with pretty good results with 168 match at 42 grains. Also in the 30-06 its tough to beat 46 grains with 165 Nosler.

I use it in the 30-06,but am starting to use Win 748 in the 308. It meters better than the stick powders.

I've used it (not for .308), but as mentioned is a fairly large extruded powder and does not meter as well as some other powders in progressive loaders. For that reason I never tried it in .308. Varget works very well for me in that application. It's also an extruded stick powder, but smaller grain and meters well in my Dillon 650.
If anyone in the ABQ, NM area wants about 6 Lbs or so of 4064, I'll let my supply go for $50.

what about 150gr bullets for a FAL? Anyone try it?
I used it for 165gr bullets in my FAL and accuracy was "good" but not great.

I like 4064 in Garand 168g loads and 30-30 loads. As mentioned, it does not meter the best but I still use it. Never tried it in 308. Seems decent in 7.62x54r too.

I use IMR 4064 in my Savage .308. The load I worked up hits 1/2m.o.a. at 100 yards.
OK, there's the loose nut behind the trigger and I get a flyer once in awhile. But that ain't the powder's fault.
