I just installed the barrel on my DSA receiver and found that whan I install the pivot pin, the upper/lower assembly won't close and lock. Is this common, an if so, what areas most likely need tweaking?
Thanks

First thing to check is the lower.
The lower could be a few thousands to wide to fit in the underside of the receiver.
Strip the lower down to just the pistol grip, recoil spring tube and rear sight.
Then check the fit with the piviot pin in place , close the lower to the upper,
see if it fits all the way flush with the receiver, if it wants to stick to the receiver
or if you need to force it together you may need to fit it to the receiver.
If you look at the underside of the receiver you will see where it overlaps the top edge of the trigger housing. Sometimes they are to tight.
Also check to see if the receiver is hitting the recoil plate.
If the upper and lower fit fine than check the locking body.
Good luck, Court in FL.
As we say, best to cut on the cheepest part.

Yeah i've had what court describes happen before. I just did a little file work and it locked tight. Mine um breakdown lever? Still doesn't go all the way to the left so I must now file on the lug a little.

Wait a minute, you say your latch "still doesn't go all the way to the left" are you saying the latch doesn't go to full 12:00 straight up?
THAT'S NORMAL, it's supposed to be that way.
Sorry if I've misunderstood you but that's the only thing I could think of when trying to get the lever to the "left".

I had the latch not him. heh. Try to keep things in order. Mine was an inch gun. It's supposed to be that way.

I found a small scrap of metal stuck to the upper that was holding them apart. It fits perfect now
