Hey Y'all,

So I just got my upper back from Bushmaster. They hooked me up with a new flat-top receiver under warranty 'cause the original A2 upper was out of spec and caused the carrier to bind. Anyway, now I need new sights. My working plan is an LMT rear with an EoTech 512...I have a couple questions for the experts, though:

1) Will there be enough room on the rail to mount both the LMT and the EoTech?

2) Am I correct in assuming the LMT will work with the Bushy front sight? (Dissipator bbl assy, if that matters)

3) Will everything properly co-witness with the EoTech?

4) Will I need something like the LaRue mount to raise the EoTech and allow it to sit a little farther forward, or will the built-in mount be OK?

Thanks!

No one knows/cares?

Well...I guess I'll just have to buy the parts and give it a go.

You mean on the flat top receiver? Yes.

Probably. If not there is a different front sight you can buy from Bushmaster, but try it first

3) Will everything properly co-witness with the EoTech?

3-4 Don't know, I think it should work as is but my eotech is on a shotgun right now

I have an LMT, good sight, though the first one I bought was out of spec and had to be sent back-no biggie these things happen. Anyway another option is the LaRue BUIS. It is an A-1 style but who really adjusts for elevation anyways?

I probably should have asked which Eotech, the one with the AA batteries is pretty long, but I think they would both fit. I can try it with mine if you want.

I'm looking at the 512, which is the AA version. I guess I could go with a 510, but the AA offers much better battery life.

I appreciate the offer to try on yours, but I'd hate to have you tear down your existing setup. If it's not a huge deal it would be nice to know, but if it would be more than a few minutes of work, don't worry about it.

I think if it's too long, I can use a LaRue mount to lift it up enough so that it will overhang the handguard without hitting it.

Thanks again for the help!

I found a thread (http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=297866) over on AR15.com that has some pictures...Looks like it would work without the mount, but I'll probably get one anyway. I think the QD attach and the higher optic position are good features.
