Just purchased a Benchmade Fecus Offsider

Nice knife. Decent steel. Not too crazy about the handle material, but over all I like it.

I like the style....good lookin knife. I purchased a S&W knife that said 440C
stainless, like yours. I had a helluva time getting the edge right on it...finally did
get it the way I wanted but it took some time.

A friend of mine works for benchmade, through him I picked up a couple different special forces AFO switchblades, would not trade them for any other knife I have used. The blade steel is 154cm about 60 HRC . They come sharp and stay sharp. I would like to have one of thier damascus folders, but at 600.00 a little pricey for me.

Good looking knife, MACV. Benchmade makes some seriously good knives at a fair price. How about the sheath? Does it have attachng points for webgear, para cord, or beltloop. I'm a big fan of their folders.

Knife steels in that state of hardness will take a bit of work initially to hone blade angles to match your sharpening style. Thereaffter, sharpening should be much easier.

Yeah the sheath has all the attach points you could need to attach it to web or molle gear. It also has some grommets on it to use para cord. Benchmades 440c is some good steel.
