Would like to know if the Tokorev SVT -40 is legal to own in California ?
And I've only seen 10 round magazines for the SVT. Any information would be greatly appreciated. M35A2c

yes a SVT40 in it's original configuration[no folding stock or pistol grip]is legal in the DPRK.bayonet lugs are just fine here.and that thing on the end of the barrel is a recoil compensator/muzzle brake, not a flash hider. I used to own a very nice one,and wish that i had kept it.

Hello,Workerunit.
Yes, My SVT - 40 is in it's original conf. I have 2, By which one has a vertical ribbed slotted compensator and the other has 2 square openings on both sides
of the compensator. Don't know the reason why the differance. So, the bayonet lug is ok for cal? Where would I locate a bayonet ? I have another question. Is a Norinco Dragunov ND-86 legal in Cal. Thanks for the Info.

SVT bayonets are very rare and expensive,I have no idea where you would find one. the NDM86 is not legal in the DPRK due to the combination of a detachable magazine, thumbhole stock and semiautomatic operation.

Go to www.empirearms.com and click on firearm accessories in the left hand toolbar. SVT bayonets are right at the top.
