Isn't it a bit tall?

Only slightly tall. This one was built to go with a globe front sight. Final version will be a few milimeters shorter, to match the standard front sight.

I'm just curious todg - you seem to know your stuff pretty well, and suddenly are developing many FAL related items. What is your background/credentials? I mean no flame by this and apologize if this has been duplicated, but I'm curious how you learned so much - are you a machinist?

Very creative looking! Great idea for those who want more precise adjustment!
Now if we could re-thread the foresight pin boss to 1/2 cm at 100m adjustments- WooHoo!

To answer your questions. I'm an amateur machinist and gunsmith (been doing it about 15 years) primarily involved with class 3 stuff. I designed the new PAWS supressors as well as some other gun related items.
Most of my work gun work has been at Police Automatic Weapons Service in Salem, OR. I know Dwight Williams through PAWS and hope to be working on some future project with him when he gets some free time.

I e-mailed him today to check status on this. I'll report my findings if/when he responds.
I thought that was a great sight!

That was a darn good idea and we at Fal Files waited and waited to hear more about it.>

Thanks for asking. Everything currently in limbo. My original manufacturer
has bailed, so I'm looking around for someone. I'll post something to the
fal files when I know more.
