Just got back from a trip to Alberta Whitetail and Moose huntng. Thought I would share some of our fun. We had a great time up there for a total of 8 days counting travel, the temp one day was 39 deg below and the high on the last day was 16 deg below we had a average of around 26 to 30 deg below each day for a high. Anyone looking for a great hunting trip for next year let me know and I will send contact information. Here are a couple of pic's from our hunt, the first deer is a bit over 350 lb's, the next is about 300 and the moose is around 1600 lb's.

Did you shoot all three with a Thompson Center Contender ?

What caliber or calibers did you use ?

Shot the first deer and the moose with the encore 300WM. The second deer was shot with a Browning Bar 300WM all hand loads. Yep rack wise they are on the smaller size compared to what we saw. Saw a few up in the 180 to 190 inch range but no shot's on these. We were about 2 1/2 hours above Edmonton in BarHead 505 zone. Overall it was a great trip.
