T handle AR rear lug?

Any body know what the T handle thingy is doing?

It may be an allen wrench type tool for tensioning a JP type tensioning pin thingy.

I asked the editor and found out it was something to make up for the fact that he could not include the usual set up to hold the upper lowewr pin in there so he has some sort of spring loaded ball on the other end of that thing and needs the T handle to get better grip to pull the pin out for disassembly.
