Alot of surplus has been fired in machine guns with questionable headspace resulting in streached cases and short case life. Winchester brass can be had in lots of 500 cases for a reasonable cost and is good quality.

Just one source. I bet you can find it cheaper.

The new .308 Graf brass is doing a good job for me so far. I'm still on my first loadings so grain of salt and all that. It sure beats processing milsurp, however.

River Valley Ordanace http://www.rvow.com/ has once fired 7.62x51 brass priced at $75/1m + $10 shipping. They are currently have a sale on 147gr FMJ pullet bullets at $44/1m, if you buy 2m you can get the bullets shipped in the same package for about $11.

I placed an order earlier this week and I must admit that they are sometimes hard to reach, but keep calling back. There prices are with it.

I E-mailed the bastards twice and called about 4 times(left message) a couple of week ago- no response-brass still listed at $40/1000.

I just got 3000 once fired cases from Nikki at RVO and she said that was it. That was the last of her 308 brass. FYI

Midway still has it listed. Polished, deprimed, and swaged.

Also try www.gibrass.com for all components. His inventory changes, and if you keep your eye out he sometimes gets virgin LC Match stuff, or its equivalent.
