*** AUCTION CLOSED! THANK YOU! ***

THE RULES

- Auction runs from now to 10:00 PM on Sunday, November 26th, 2006, Eastern Standard Time. To clarify, a bid timestamped by the forum at 9:59 PM is valid. A bid timestamped by the forum at 10:00 PM is TOO LATE.

- All bids must be posted in this thread.

- Bids must be in not-less-than $5.00 increments.

- If two persons post the same bid with the same time stamp, the first post displayed in the thread takes priority.

- A legible copy of your state-issued driver's license or ID must accompany payment along with a statement that you're at least 21 years old, that you have never been convicted of a felony, and that there is nothing to prohibit your purchase of ammunition. The driver's license/state ID is to establish age (if your DL/ID shows your Social Security Number, PLEASE obscure it!) If your locale requires an additional permit or paperwork to purchase ammunition please enclose a legible copy of that as well. Payment is to be made by US Postal Service money order.

- Payment and ID/statement must be received within seven (7) business days of auction close (in this case on or by Tuesday, December 5th) unless we come to another agreement.

- Since we're talking about surplus ammunition, I must of course make the disclaimer that I had no control over how the ammuntion was manufactured or stored (although I kept it in a cool, dry place) so I can make no guarantee as to its performance nor do I accept any responsibility for its use.

THE DEAL!

I'm cleaning out the last of my ammo stash, so up for auction is 660 rounds of surplus 7.62/.308 ammunition.

540 rounds of it is AUSTRALIAN (the good stuff!) 500 rounds of the Aussie is headstamped "MF F4 83" and the other 40 rounds are headstamped "AFF 89". It's clean and looks good. This stuff is from my "SHTF" stash and is on 5-round stripper clips. A stripper clip magazine guide is included.
As you probably know, the Aussie was some of the best stuff to hit our shores in a long time and the odds of any more coming to us (or stuff of the same high quality) are pretty darn slim.

The other 120 rounds is SOUTH AFRICAN. It is M1A2. 100 rounds of this comes in the original cardboard boxes (I previously opened the boxes to inspect the ammo) and 20 rounds are loose in a baggie (I had these loaded in a magazine and don't have the cardboard box anymore). This ammo is also clean and looks good. While SA isn't quite the caliber (please pardon the pun) of Aussie, it's pretty darn good in its own right (as plenty of members here on the Files can attest!)

The ammunition will ship in the ammo cans shown.

Because ammunition is heavy and shipping costs vary widely by distance, the winning bidder will also pay actual shipping on top of the winning bid. This ammunition package weighs approximately 47 pounds (according to my supersweet bathroom scale  ) and will ship via UPS Ground from the UPS Customer Center in Maumee, OH 43537. Obviously, the closer you are to northwest Ohio the better!

BIDDING BEGINS AT $135.00.
