View Full Version : PMC primers?

Was at my local gun haunt yesterday and found several 1000 round boxes of PMC primers that he's selling for $13 a thousand. At that price I can't turn them down, but I've never used them.

I just finished loading 50 .223 cartridges with them and dimensionally they seem very uniform,... all pressed into the primer pockets with an equal amount of pressure. They appear to be copper washed as opposed to the chrome plating which is applied to many commercial primers,.. or maybe they're just copper, I don't know.

Anyone have any experience with PMC primers?

See if you can tell where they are made - I have heard some are made in Russia and have a good reputation with Benchrest shooters for consistency - you may have lucked into a good one.

Thanks for the heads up,... I checked and yes, they're Russian made.

I'm going to stop by on the way to work and buy the rest of his inventory.

Have you tried them yet - what results?
