WOW ! I traded for an Older (1979) Chris Reeve 1 pc Knife yesterday, and am seeking any and all info on The specific model (Project 1 ?)and would like to know if there is any collector value in this knife.(Custom knife made during Apartied Era?) It is unsharpend, purchased by a friend of mine in 1980 in South Africa.My friend , an American ,did some clandestine flying with SA defence forces during that time. Any help with the value of this knife is much appreciated.

wow! I've got a more recent version of the same knife--pretty much stole it....I paid $75 LNIB. Cheapest price I've seen for a MK IV (used) is right around $225.

All I can confirm is that apartheid ended in 1994, so yes - it's apartheid-era. You could always contact Chris (http://www.chrisreeve.com/) himself and ask what he'd pay to get it back :p
