Try a wood working shop or crafts store for walnut veneer, same thing as on the L1A1 pistol grip

Also, knifemaker supply outlets have sheets or scales of walnut. A friend suggested Home Depot also. Just another possibility (or 2)

Good suggestions guys. My stuff is free. Had my Dad cut some strips for me when I visited him last week.

I think this came up in the context of my expression of disappointment that the Ironwood inch wood kit did not include the little strip that goes down the forward side of the inch-pattern pistol grip.

Yup! That thread popped into my mind when I saw my dad cutting some Cherry boards on his table saw.
"Hey,Dad. Watcha' gonna' do with that big hunk of Walnut over there?"
He sliced off a few 1/8" strips from that 2 1/4" thick board for me!
Hmmmm.....I wonder how nice some Cherry or Mahogany furniture would look. :)

hey doubleought,
I did mis-understand. Thought you were mebbe still looking for the stuff. We do have a lot of choices and I too, kind of expected these pieces to be with the ironwood pieces. I did have some here tho. See ya. ;)
