Are they a good scope for the money?

I have not been overly dissappointed w/ mine. I tried to mount it on my STG, but the brass was whacking the turrets very hard. My 10x SS now resides on a 16" M4gery. The length of pull on the M4gery is way too short to get a good consistent sight picture w/ the 10x scope. The optics are as clear as the $200 dollar range Nikon Buckmaster and Burris FFII scope series. I've not had the opportunity to do a side by side comparison of a Super Sniper and a Leupold equivelant.

I have two of them, One is on a Rem. 700p in .308, The other is on a Armilite AR30 in .338 lapua They both have done really well. For the money they are hard to beat. If it will hold up on the 338 lapua I would trust it on most anything. My 2 cents.

I had one on a AR Varmint rifle and now it's on a .243 bolt action. No problems so far with about 1000 rounds. Not bad for the money.

I have a 10x SS on my .308 Savage. Several thousand rounds: repeatable, durqble, accurate and ranges properly. Compared to my old Vari-X it is just sightly dimmer at dusk and dawn, but still completely usable. The turrets have a softer click that some don't like, but that remains precise.

I've got four of the 10x42M Super Snipers and I love 'em.
I remember a note from one of the Sniper websites that said to take the caps off and lubricate the o-ring seals with petroleum jelly when you get a new one. I don't know if you still need to do it, but it won't hurt to check. That's about the only maintenance you need to do.
Hakko in Japan builds the SS exclusively for S.W.F.A.
